Privacy Policy

This policy covers Recrulus and its products — Ada (the career agent at ada.recrulus.com) and Uche (the employer agent at uche.recrulus.com). It explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account data — your email address and a securely hashed password. Employers also provide a company name.
- Career data you give Ada — your CV (pasted or uploaded), career profile, target roles, interview answers, and details you share in conversations with Ada (typed or spoken). Voice calls are transcribed; durable facts Ada learns are stored as memories you can view and delete from your profile.
- Hiring data you give Uche — roles you post and how you interact with candidate shortlists.
- Payment metadata — amounts, references, and payment status. Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment processors (Paystack, Stripe); we never see or store them.
- Technical basics — a session cookie to keep you signed in, and standard server logs.
How we use it
- To run the product: rewrite CVs, match jobs, prep and score interviews, curate candidate shortlists, and personalise Ada’s coaching.
- To notify you — in-app, by email, or WhatsApp where you’ve provided a number — about things like fresh matching roles or introduction requests.
- To process payments and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your data. Candidates are never visible to employers unless they explicitly turn on discoverability, and contact details are shared only after a candidate accepts an introduction.
AI processing
Ada and Uche are built on large language models (Google Gemini, running on Google Cloud). Your CV, profile, and conversation content are sent to these models to generate rewrites, matches, insights, and coaching. Model output can contain mistakes — review important documents before using them.
Who processes data for us
Google Cloud (hosting, storage, AI), Netlify (web hosting), Paystack and Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (WhatsApp messages), and job-listing sources (e.g. Jooble and public company job boards) for the roles we match you against.
Retention & your rights
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete individual memories and uploaded documents in the app. To access, export, or delete your account and its data, email hello@recrulus.com — we act on verified requests within 30 days.
